About Chris

Well if you don’t know my story already, I’m happy to share it.  My name is Chris and I started a luxury towncar company that’s a fancy term for being a chauffeur driver.  God’s blessed the company and no I’m not rich just enough to enjoy life and give to others.  I started Triple Crown Transport in 2007 and have been driving for 6 years now.  I’m still driving full time and staying busy.  My 1st car for the company was a 2004 Cadillac CTS, it was a hot car, I purchased it pre-owned and it had some nice blacked out 20’s.  The clients loved it until January of 2012, the Cadillac was stolen, that is a very long story so if I ever meet you make sure to ask about it over a hot cup of coffee.  Well that leads us to the time of February 2012 when I purchased my BMW E65 750i.  It’s a 2006, and from the 1st pickup I did for my regular clients they are all wooing and wowing over the car.  For chauffeuring this BMW 7 series really has all the bells and whistles.  The other day a client saw my company name of my Idrive because my Iphone is called my company name, and it’s synced to the Bluetooth  he was very impressed.  Over all I really love this car, I have done projects to my BMW E65 750i over the year that I have owned it.  It does take a lot of extra time to film the project, but the main reason I do it for every project is to help others with any issues their having.  When I owned my Cadillac CTS, I searched and searched for information to help me fix it fast so that I could get back up and running as quick as possible.  I hope that this website and my videos will help you.  God Bless

Chris, Thank you for all your videos. I have 2008 750li and I changed the front breaks on it because I saw your video. God bless you for everything you do to help all of us who own a BMW but just can’t afford the dealer service. Your are awesome!

    Chris –

I used your video for changing the Guibo. You saved me a ton of cash. The whole process took me about 8 hours and I had to get creative as a one-man crew re-attaching the exhaust system.

The hardest part was getting the Guibo out because of the tight space so I took the tranny brace off and supported the unit with a hydraulic lift and piece of wood to spread the load. It was much easier to work after that!

Unfortunately this did not fix my problem (jerky/delayed downshift from 2-1)… similar symptoms of a bad Guibo but acquired more tools that I will keep versus having paid labor for this repair!

I might try your tranny fluid video next week, maybe that’s my problem, just really hope its not the actual tranny (gulp!).

    • Chris says:

Hello Scott, I’m sorry to hear that a new Guibo did not fix the problem, I would try the trans oil change, how many miles do you have on your BMW? It surprises me that you still have the jerk from 2-1. Also what year is your’s?

    • David says:

Try resetting the transmission adaptions by inserting your FOB, hitting the start button (but not starting the car) and then holding down the accelerator to the floor for 30 seconds.

The resets the transmission to defaults. In my case, the slamming from 2nd to 1st went away and the overall smoothness of shifting improved.

Chris, you’re very kind to those of us who need help with our 7s – thanks for your work and PLEASE keep posting har har har

I made a typo “The resets the transmission to defaults” should be “This resets the ………

Awesome, I’m glad the slamming went away:) More videos to come.

    Hi, Chris
I’ve really enjoyed your video posts! Like you, my father taught me about vehicle maintenance from a young age on our farm. I have a 2007 e66. We love it!
I’ve managed to DIY the repairs on it, thus far. I’m currently working to resolve a “Comfort Access” problem. Have you had any experience (yet) with that?

    your brother in Christ,

    • Chris says:

      Hello Gene,

I’m glad you like the videos, my 06 E65 actually doesn’t have the comfort access feature, but there is a guy named acecarage or something like that on YouTube and he does a lot of work on his with the comfort access. I would give him a look.

      God Bless

Thank you the time you put into your videos. I’ve learned and saved a lot from them. Do you any information on how to replace the bulb in “ring” around the headlight? The dealerships price is almost as much as an oil change to do so.

    Hi Chris,

Love what u do, awesome! My 06 750Li, makes a humming noise while on the road. Seems its from the rear. Any suggestions what it could be?

Any knowledge about Audi A8L? “CAR” button on MMI won’t work but all else on the panel works.

    • Chris says:

      Hello Jay,

That’s a tough one, it might be the wheel noise from your bearing or maybe just loud tire noise? That happened to me when I owned my cadillac cts and the noise got louder and louder then I replaced the driver’s rear wheel bearing and bammm silent. I would have a listen when it starts to happen if the noise kind of goes away when you turn lets say on the freeway (meaning the weight shifts to the other wheels and off the noisy wheel? Hope this helps.

  10. Jay says:

Oh another thing… Right turn indicator malfunction is driving me nuts… Ugh!!! Bulb is fine. Any ideas?
